Divine Self-Expression (Communication)
The fifth energy center — when listed alphabetically — is the Energy Center of communication, self-expression and authenticity. This is the realm of the teacher, and the written and spoken word. You have a very special relationship with language – words will have taste and substance for you. You are a natural expert at communication. You can become an exceptional writer, speaker, or both. You innately know how to inspire and move people into action through words. You excel at helping others change at the level of thought and mind, by introducing new ways of looking at life through the written or spoken word.
This often translates into the realm of business within the areas of marketing and sales, where excellent communication skills are key. It is imperative that you use your words in how you make a living! This is often what unlocks abundance for you. It is always important for you to have an “audience” of sorts to communicate with, whether that’s one person or a group of listeners or readers.
You are highly verbal, often constantly talking, teaching and having whole conversations in your own mind. You always need to “talk things through” and one of the greatest gifts anyone can give you is to simply listen and let you work your thoughts through verbally.
You are a teacher but may be frequently even more comfortable in the realm of the student! You can be an avid life-long learner and voracious reader. You can be a prolific content creator and may be full of ideas of what to write and teach. However, because this is the realm of authenticity, it is vital that you express your own unique opinion and expertise, gathered through personal experience and the results you yourself have created.
You have strong opinions and perspectives, and your abundance will actually come by upholding your unique point of view publicly. You get on little soapboxes and are highly outspoken. Your inner wisdom frequently unfolds spontaneously when you communicate. Most especially, you will find yourself giving excellent advice that surprises even you when you are in conversation. You are a natural channel, and channeling happens in the moment.
The negative polarity of this Energy Center is when your communication falls on deaf ears! Communication, after all, is a two-way street. If nobody is listening and engaging with your communications, you must either find an audience that actually values what you have to say or relay your message differently. If you don’t address that nobody is listening, you may fall into inauthenticity, and just start communicating what you think people want to hear.
Unfortunately, you may also start simply rehashing what you have heard from other teachers or mentors, leading to plagiarism rather than authentic self-expression. You may have become so conditioned to not speak your Truth that you hide in the student role. You will endlessly read, learn, and study but not actually DO anything … because then you might actually have something original to express! It is important that you learn, DO, and then teach from your personal experience if you are to unlock the abundance of your Divine Gifts.
If this Energy Center continues to remain unheard, you will end up in the dysfunctional aspect of your Gifts and communicate to no-one. Your Gifts may come out through unwanted and often inappropriate advice. You may also talk, talk, and talk some more, without any regard for who is listening or whether anyone wants to hear it. Your communication style may descend into “verbal masturbation” – you just talk for the sake of talking! If human Beings aren’t listening, you might find solace in the spiritual realm. You may journal and channel endlessly, without ever publishing and serving the world through your gifts.
Divine Self-Expression Summary
You can be an exceptional writer, speaker and communicator. In business, this means you can excel at sales and marketing. You are a natural channel and an excellent advisor when coming from the heart.
You must express yourself and speak your own Truth from the heart; otherwise, you may give inappropriate advice or repeat information merely to be heard. You can get stuck in the role of a student when you should be learning, DOING and then teaching from your own experience. You can experience communication as over-thinking, or internally talking to yourself, so you need to express yourself constructively.
